Stalemate for Raith
Raith and Falkirk played out a goalless stalemate at Stark's Park as the visitors brought to an end their recent losing streak.
The Bairns had lost both of their games since their dramatic cup exit against Hibernian but began in confident fashion with David Weatherston forcing Ross Laidlaw into a third-minute save from the edge of the area.
Laidlaw's opposite number Michael McGovern was called into action 12 minutes later as Rovers' top scorer Brain Graham tried his luck with a 20-yard drive.
The hosts had won just one of their last five games and struggled to gain any momentum with Joseph Cardle's 43rd-minute effort which flew wide of the target their best chance before the interval.
Laidlaw continued to frustrate the away side after the break with Craig Sibbald seeing his goalbound left-footed strike kept out by the young keeper.
Cardle then should have done better with his 78th-minute drive as Grant Murray's men failed to steal a late victory.
