Thistle claimed a welcome three points with a comfortable victory over Raith. Their first goal came after only two minutes when Armand One's shot rebounded off the bar and Raith could only partially clear to Emanuel Panther, whose 20-yard shot flew high into the corner of the net.
Buoyed by this goal, Thistle continued to dominate the match and Jean-Yves Anis and One had further chances to increase their lead. Raith were unable to control Thistle, and it was inevitable the home side would increase their lead which they duly did after 21 minutes when Kenny Milne ran to the by-line and his cut-back gave One a simple tap-in from three yards.
Thistle tried to increase their lead as half-time approached and they had further chances. After 33 minutes Milne's shot was cleared for a corner. Panther fired a shot at goal from eight yards in the 40th minute, and five minutes later Juan Ramon Escalas should have done better than head wide from six yards.
The second half began with a chance for Raith through Wesley Daly who found himself one-on-one with Thistle keeper Kenny Arthur, who made a good save.
The second half continued with few chances being created, although Raith did come into the game more without really posing a threat to the Thistle goal.
Thistle had one more chance when Derek Fleming blasted high over after 88 minutes. Raith looked a poor team and left you wondering where their next victory was going to come from.
