Dundee United are hoping captain Andy Webster can recover from calf and back injuries to lead them into the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden. Full-back Mihael Kovacevic should be fit, but Garry Kenneth is suspended and Scott Robertson is also absent.
Raith Rovers have injury doubts over Graham Weir, Iain Williamson, Dougie Hill and David Armstrong.
All four will be given until the last minute to prove their fitness for the First Division underdogs.
Dundee United manager Peter Houston: "We've got to give them every due respect - they've earned the right to be there by winning some tough ties.
"I'll try and instil in the players not to take them for granted.
"I think I have a bunch of players who, in the past, have gone about their business brilliantly against lower league opposition.
"There's certainly an apprehension in the squad, but it's a game we're looking forward to because it's not often you get to semi-finals - even at Dundee United."
Raith Rovers manager John McGlynn: "The cup results so far spur us on ahead of Sunday.
"We know we did it over two games against Aberdeen in the quarter-finals and it speaks volumes that we went to Pittodrie in the replay and beat them.
"Before that we showed the character to beat Dundee, who were big favourites, and that shows the belief.
"We do realise that Dundee United are the form team in Scottish football.
"It looks like they have a European spot tied up and they are looking to push Celtic all the way to the end of the season for second place so we realise we have a big task ahead.
"But we feel we can cause them a few problems."
